Day 305 - My Tea Box
As I sit drinking some nice warm tea, I'm grateful for my tea box that holds all of my tea bags! I got it in a white elephant gift exchange a few years back! Not shabby for a gift exchange!

Having unpacked some books from my childhood, I have remembered my love of Shel Silverstein's books! I enjoy sitting and reading them out loud with Roy, which we did tonight!

Day 303 - Our Annual Memory Books
Every year we make a memory book through Shutterfly! I love to scrapbook, but this is so much easier, cheaper, and less messy! We love to pull these books out and reminisce over the past years.

Day 301 - Starbucks with the Youth
We only had two youth at youth group tonight (and we kind of expected that based on people we knew weren't coming), so we took those two out to Starbucks! We sat and talked, shared requests and prayed, and just had a great time together!

Day 296 - Cedar Lake and Brick Buildings
Cedar Lake and the DMC (Dixon Ministry Center) on the campus of Cedarville University. This building is where we have chapel every day. The lake is beautiful right now. When it's hot outside, the lake grows algae and gets somewhat smelly :) But for now, I'm loving its beauty. I'm so grateful to work at such a beautiful location! I got to walk around the lake today on my lunch, which was so wonderful and relaxing!

Day 294 - Family Engagements and Visits!
We are enjoying a weekend visit from Roy's sister, Allison, and her fiance, Kirk! They just got engaged, and we are celebrating with them! So glad they're here to visit, and excited for the years ahead that God has for them!

Day 293 - Inspiring Mornings
I watched God paint the sunrise this morning while sipping a Chai latte as I drove to work. It encouraged my heart and inspired me for the day ahead. It was a great start to what ended up being a great day!

Day 290 - Eternal Weight of Glory
Love these verses. So grateful that our current affliction is light in comparison to the eternal weight of glory we have coming. Can't wait!

Day 289 - Roller Coasters!
I LOVE roller coasters. LOVE. Growing up, my dad called me his roller coaster buddy because we would go on all of them together. I don't get to ride them very often anymore, but when I do, I get pretty excited!

Day 287 - Kings Island
Today we went to Kings Island. The weather was perfect! Roy had never been. We had a good time together. We went up the Eiffel Tower, which I hadn't done in many years. We also got to ride a good amount of rides, which of course I love!

Day 285 - Julie and Julia
I really like this movie. Roy picked it up at the library for me to watch (again) since I haven't been feeling well. It was one of my inspirations for starting this blog. And every time I watch it, it makes me want to cook cook cook!

Day 284 - Nose Spray
I love this stuff. It's so helpful when I'm super congested. Normally I go for the sudafed, but it's giving my heart issues! So, nose spray it is!

Day 282 - Children's Books
Tonight we spent time unpacking books. We divided which ones Roy is going to keep at work and which ones we want here. I love organizing books! We came across a bunch of books that were mine as a child. This always results in me having to read a bunch of them out loud :) So many great favorites!!

Day 281 - Homemade Waffles
I knew the cold was inevitable with everyone else getting it and my usual history of a fall cold. So it's here! Joy. This morning we stayed home, and Roy made homemade waffles. They were very delicious! Very thankful that he helped me out a bunch today with me feeling quite under the weather!

Day 280 - Homecoming Fun
This weekend is homecoming at Cedarville. We enjoyed a little bit of time out there amidst our busy day. We hooked up with Roy's roommate and his girlfriend at Young's Dairy for lunch. Then we enjoyed the varsity soccer game! They ended up winning 5-0 :) Great time reconnecting with old friends and enjoying being alums!

It is so nice to FINALLY get some stuff on our walls! Everything's not up yet, but this week we put up quite a few things. It makes it feel so much more like a home!

Day 278 - Fall Walks
Thankful for a beautiful (and quite warm!) fall walk with Roy this evening. This beautiful leaf caught my eye in the grass. Lovely. Probably our last day this warm for the year... but then again, this is Ohio. So it could be 80 in December... :)

Day 277 - Cedarville University
I'm so grateful for this school. My time at Cedarville as a student was some of the best years in my life. And now, I get to work there too! So thankful.

Day 276 - Lament
I'm so grateful for the lament in the Bible. While there is much to rejoice over, there are also times of lamenting and mourning. I'm grateful that the Bible shows us how normal and necessary these times are, and we can see how other "giants" in the faith had similar moments of mourning to the ones that we have.
